PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- Manages and coordinates Procurement Operations for Direct Material and Services across multiple sites/countries, for all projects and industrial activities in a geographical scope.
- Develops and executes action plans to continuously improve QCD performance.
- Supports the procurement organization in all related processes, including the negotiation preparation and Supplier performance monitoring (QCDT).
- Working in SAP (GSI) for Purchase order placement, ALTES or ARIBA for eRFQs, other systems for Vendor Creation, documentation management.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
- Procurement operations:
- Validates purchase requisitions completeness in coordination with Project teams.
- Conducts Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP).
- Preparation and launch of Request For Quotation with suppliers using the standard tool.
- Vendor selection / Evaluation / negotiation of contract (within threshold value) / Business case preparation and follow DOA approval flow.
- Vendor onboarding until panel validation.
- Creates and manages Purchase orders and Amendments.
- Supports preparation of supplier(s) negotiations.
- Creates monthly reports and ad'hoc reports on Supplier performance and Procurement KPI’s.
- Promotes the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct.
- Processes / Tools / Knowledge Management
- Applies consistently the Procurement processes and tools.
- Applies best practices in Work package and E2E management and contributes to their enrichment with peers and Procurement organisation.
- Identifies problems and suggest solutions.
- Developing oneself and get exposure
- Deep understanding of business practices in Procurement.
- Generates innovative ideas for increased process efficiency & reduction in cost.
- Deep understanding of processes and tools.
- Exposure to the Procurement organization (internally) and externally (suppliers).
- Handle small projects or saving initiatives.
MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES
Educational Requirements
Business Degree or similar complemented by a demonstrated track record.
Mandatory:
- Engineering Degree (BE/B Tech).
- Procurement and Supply chain education/trainings/certificates.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in Direct Procurement in Industry sector.
Mandatory:
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in manufacturing processes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of commodities.
- Good knowledge on Raw Material price scenarios, Machinery and Labour rates.
- Knowledgeable of SAP systems.
- Logistics & warehouse management rules.
Competencies & Skills Describe the needed skills (technical & behavioral)
- Expert in SAP.
- Fluent English & International background is a must.
- Presentation skills on technical matters to management, team and Stakeholders.
- Willingness to take initiatives / Ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Adequate exposure to tools like MS Excel and BI.
- Solid level in Microsoft Office Applications, E-mail application, Working knowledge of ERP systems, eProcurement tools.
