Background

The Role

Attention to simple and complex claims, especially related to Civil Liability, Professional Liability, Transport and Financial Lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Independent claims management
• Relations with the Insurance market
• Evaluate insurance claims to determine coverage and assess damages.
• Investigate claims by interviewing policyholders, witnesses, and other parties involved.
• Review police reports, medical records and other pertinent documentation sites to evaluate claims.
• Negotiate agreements with policyholders, taking into account policy coverage and other pertinent factors.
• Maintain accurate records of claims, including investigation results, settlement agreements, and other pertinent information.
• Collaborate with other insurance professionals, including underwriters and legal teams, to ensure timely and accurate handling of claims.
• Provide excellent customer service to policyholders and other stakeholders, including responding to inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Stay up-to-date on changes to insurance policies, laws, and regulations that may affect claims handling.
• Identify and report potential fraud or other irregularities related to insurance claims.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Fluent level of English.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in claims settlement or insurance-related functions.
• In-depth knowledge of insurance policies and their coverage.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Great negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with clients and other stakeholders.
• Knowledge of the legal and regulatory requirements related to the handling of insurance claims.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, tight deadlines environment.
• Great attention to detail and precision.
• Preferably relevant industry certifications (e.g., CPCU, AIC).
