As a Design Director you will be responsible for the day-to-day development of best-in-class design. With your balanced understanding of design strategy, visual design, digitaldesign, branding, and UI, you will be able to do your best work while overseeing multipleprojects from concept to execution. You will work collaboratively across disciplines andoffices to find the best design strategies and solutions to client marketing goals and be ableto clearly articulate the approach internally and externally. As an effective leader andmanager, you will inspire and guide your team of Designers to successful execution.
Ultimately, you will help set the bar for quality and innovation at iCrossing and theindustry.
REQUIREMENTS:
Fluency in current design applications including Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch and InVision
Expertise in designing for digital: websites, apps, e-commerce, social media, and digital ads, among others
Ability to manage a team of Designers and drive excellence in execution
Ability to tell visual stories and execute them across multiple digital and social channels
Ability to evaluate design options and concept extensive, cutting edge ideas based on brief and style guidelines
Ability to apply technology and innovation to produce groundbreaking design that pushes boundaries
Ability to work with the Creative Lead and team in NYC
Ability to support new business efforts and shape proposals with the business development and client services team
Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written), to manage, pitch and present
Ability to develop trust-based relationships with clients, agency leadership and project teams.
5+ years of experience in an agency, design firm or creative group (with at least 3+ years in a digital agency environment).
3+ years of management/leadership experience
BFA or BA in Visual or Interaction Design (Graduate degree in Design preferred)
Director level design portfolio, showing commensurate experience in integrated and digital design
