KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Curriculum Delivery: Teach foundational subjects such as reading, writing, math, and social studies according to the curriculum.
  2. Classroom Management: Create and maintain a positive, organized classroom environment that encourages learning and good behavior.
  3. Student Assessment: Evaluate student progress through assessments, assignments, and observations, providing feedback to students and parents.
  4. Individualized Support: Identify and address the diverse learning needs of students, providing additional support or enrichment as needed.
  5. Parent Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians about student progress, behavior, and classroom activities, including holding conferences when necessary.
  6. Social and Emotional Development: Foster a supportive atmosphere that promotes social skills and emotional well-being among students.
  7. Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with special education teachers, counselors, and other staff to support students' needs.
  8. Plan Activities: Organize and supervise classroom activities, field trips, and special events that enhance learning.
  9. Academic Record Management: Maintain updated and accurate records of each student’s academic progress and behavior.
  10. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on teaching strategies and educational best practices.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  1. Degree in education, psychology, or a related field that supports understanding of child development.
  2. Previous experience in the classroom, preferably teaching young children in primary education.
  3. Excellent ability to communicate with students, parents, and colleagues.
  4. Ability to manage student behavior and create a positive learning environment.
  5. Willingness to adjust teaching methods according to the individual needs of students.
  6. Interest in promoting the social and emotional well-being of students.
  7. Ability to work as part of a team with other educators and support staff.
  8. Genuine commitment to the learning and development of students.
