As an Automotive Data Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing, researching, and coding vehicle pricing and specifications data from various sources to enhance our data sets. You will play a key role in improving the quality of our data and add value to our clients.

We are looking for a self-motivated and analytical individual who has a passion for cars with the willingness to grow within our global automotive company.

Key Responsibilities

1. Build and maintain contacts within the automotive industry to collect data on a regular basis.
2. Input the data collected into JATO's database following company procedures and guidelines.
3. Maintain a telephone/visit/inspections log for queries made at the manufacturers, as well as reporting the status of data collection on a regular basis.
4. Perform online web inspections at new/current sold vehicles and cross-check with the database to check inconsistencies and improve the quality of data.
5. Actively find new and better ways of collecting information to enhance the official price and car specifications data.
6. Carry out quality checks on all data researched within the market and report any anomalies to the Production Department for correction.
7. Achieve company standards for timeliness, completeness, and accuracy and to deliver top quality information to our clients.
8. Prepare news bulletins both in English and in Spanish (where relevant) for the Company’s International Electronic News Service (JATONews).
9. Support the wider team with queries arising from local data.
10. Follow market events and trends.

Key Requirements

1. Knowledge of the automotive market, gained through experience or significant training in product or market research at automotive manufacturers, importers, or leasing companies.
2. Educated at degree level or relevant work experience within this field.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
4. Client-focused approach with the ability to gain trust and commitment.
5. The ability to focus on detailed information, manage data, and deliver tasks within tight deadlines.
6. Must be self-motivated, organised, and have a problem solver mentality.
7. Proficient with MS Packages (e.g., Excel) and other data input systems.
