About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer I, you will engage in advanced research design and software development tasks within a software functional area or product line. You'll contribute to project plans, schedules, and methodologies for developing cross-functional software products. This role involves designing software across multiple systems, mentoring junior team members, and translating user/customer requests into solutions.

Conditions of Employment:

• Qualified Applicants must reside in Mexico City
• Able to work in-person 2-4 days/week as scheduled
• Bilingual: English and Spanish

Responsibilities

• Collaborating closely with other development team members to understand complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
• Leading the design and development of complex data models, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Implementing development processes, coding best practices, and conducting code reviews.
• Identifying and addressing technical debt and architectural improvements, completing bug fixes, and resolving complex technical issues.
• Writing and reviewing detailed specifications for complex system components.
• Staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
• Training and mentoring junior software engineers and developers in development methodologies and optimization techniques.

Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Possess extensive experience in software development, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry best practices.
• Be able to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
• Be skilled in troubleshooting and debugging complex software applications.
• Be adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Exhibit expertise in development languages (e.g., Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and .Net).
