We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of AS400 Developer. This role is responsible for developing the most appropriate and secure Technology solutions using iterative software development/programming in line with the solution design, to meet customer needs, ensuring continuous improvement.

Principal accountabilities:

1. Design and engineer software with the customer/user experience as a key objective.
2. Work within a feature team to engineer software, scripts and tools to enable the delivery of bank's products and services.
3. Design, develop and deploy applications capable of meeting the anticipated load, performance, availability, security and resilience requirements.
4. Design and develop software with a focus on automation of build, testing and deployment process on all environments to minimize variation and ensure predictable high-quality code and data.
5. Ensure compliance with all relevant controls and standards including relevant Service Management Standard.
6. Ensure high data quality exists in Service Management systems of record.
7. Provide support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team.
8. Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered.
9. Responsible for automating the continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline within a DevOps Product/Service team driving a culture of continuous improvement.
10. Keep up-to-date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency etc. that are applicable.

To succeed in this role you will need:

1. 4 years of overall and relevant IT experience on AS400 (RPGLE, CL, DB2, Cobol).
2. Need to work collaboratively in Agile/Sprints using following DevOps tools (ARCAD, RC, RDI, Jenkins, SONAR).
3. Have knowledge in COBOL 400 programming language.
4. Need to participate in Analysis, Design, Coding and testing and have Jira knowledge.
5. Have knowledge in AS400 Production support activities.
6. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
7. Interact with team members in integrating the deliverables and work products.
8. Need to document the artifacts required for the project deliverable.
9. Undergo various trainings required for the project and participate/deliver the knowledge sharing sessions.
10. Participate in the design, requirement analysis and review discussions.
11. Need to have a positive attitude and work as a good team player.
12. Preferred knowledge on Incident and Problem management.
