We are currently searching for an MS SQL Production Support Engineer:

Responsibilities

  • Provide production support for applications using MS SQL Server*), SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).
  • Analyze job failures, identify root causes, and recommend technical resolutions.
  • Offer workarounds and suggest solutions for application teams when code changes are required.
  • Ensure strong understanding and application of MSBI and MS SQL Server architecture.
  • Monitor and manage incidents, ensuring timely resolutions while maintaining SLA compliance.
  • Utilize ticketing tools such as ServiceNow and scheduling tools like Control-M.
  • Provide on-call support for critical production applications, including weekend shifts (12+ hours), with remaining hours distributed across weekdays.
  • Liaise with customers, manage expectations, and ensure proper escalation procedures are followed.
  • Define, document, and implement processes and procedures for production support.
  • Collaborate with developers to implement and document necessary changes.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills while working in a team environment.

Requirements:

  • 4-6+ years of experience in MS SQL Server*), SSIS, and SSRS.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in production support for MSBI applications.
  • Strong understanding of MSBI and MS SQL Server architecture.
  • Experience with ticketing tools (ServiceNow) and scheduling tools (Control-M).
  • Ability to analyze job failures and recommend resolutions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to work weekend shifts (12+ hours) with adjusted weekday schedules.

Desired:

  • Experience with Python is a plus.

Languages

  • Advanced Oral English.
  • Native Spanish.
