We are currently searching for a Sourcing & Supplier Development Engineer:
Responsibilities:
- Develop and qualify suppliers for commodities such as heavy weldments, sheet metal fabrication, casting, forging, plastic, and electrical components.
- Manage sourcing activities for NPI (New Product Introduction) and pilot projects, ensuring supplier qualification and alternative source development.
- Analyze supplier quotations, conduct cost negotiations, and identify optimal sourcing strategies.
- Build and maintain strong industry connections, particularly within the US/Mexico supplier market.
- Overcome challenges in NPI and alternative supplier development through problem-solving and dynamic engagement.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Experience in supplier development and sourcing, preferably in the Automotive, EV, or Commercial Vehicle OEM sectors.
- Strong knowledge of supplier shortlisting, qualification, onboarding, and PPAP/FAI documentation.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and understand manufacturing processes & inspection methods.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).

- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish is preferred.
