Leading transnational company in food, beverages, health, biosciences and sensory experiences is looking for an Accounting Supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise the Accounting and Control function of the company in Mexico, ensuring effective execution of business processes to improve interactions between the company and the Shared Services Centers.
• Provide coordination of activities and alignment between Finance, Accounting and Comptroller, Taxes, Treasury, SSC, AP, AR and Payroll.
• Provide financial support to accounting and finance teams through accurate and timely advice and reporting.
• Supervise compliance with the policies and procedures associated with the management of Accounting, Auditing and Comptrollership.
• Ensure timely compliance with legal and tax requirements, as well as corporate policies and procedures.
• Supervise Balance Sheet reviews, responding to deviations and mitigating risks when identified.
• Maintain an adequate internal control environment and Lead SOX controls ensuring that everything is operating in accordance with policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certified Public accountant
• 5 - 7 years’ experience coordinating finance functions; working knowledge of U.S.
• Over 10 years experience handling Accounting in Mexico
• Strong knowledge of Mexican fiscal books and tax reporting requirements including the TAX OPINION, DataStage and others.
• Experience handling SOX requirements.
• Experience in working with SAP and/or another ERP system
• Familiarity with a shared service environment is a plus.
• Must be fluent in English
• A post-graduate degree is a plus.
• Needs to have experience in completing the Tax Opinion requirement for Mexico
